Just Percussion offers Austrlia's widest range or Drum and Percussion Products
Our drum department offers a full range of all major drum kit brands, including DW, Gretsch, Pearl, Yamaha, Mapex, PDP, and Ludwig snares, just to name a few. Our enormous cymbal wall holds in excess of 200 cymbals representing Zildjian, Meinl, Paiste and Sabian. If it is sticks or heads you are after, we carry every model available in Vic Firth, Promark, Vater, Zildjian, Meinl, Remo, and Evans.
We also offer the complete range of roland and tamaha electronic drum kits along with evrything you need to go along with them, from powered speakers to heaphones and cables.
We have a dedicated orchestral showroom, being the only store in Qld to have timpani, marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, and a huge range of gongs on display. To accompany this, you can browse through an unprecendented range of mallets for every orchestral instrument.
Over the past 10 years we have been very fortunate to welcome an unparallelled group of team members with long term experience in both drum retail and performance, having played all over Australia and the world. They are all passionate about what we offer and dedicated to making your experience at Just Percussion the best it could possibly be. You will not find a more knowledgeable team, who love making your decisions as easy as possible, by offering advice that only comes from on the ground experience.
Attached to our showroom floor is a four room teaching facility, offering lessons on acoustic drum kits and a dedicated teaching room for orchestral students, filled with a full set of timpani, a marimba, a xylophone and more...
Our teaching staff come from a variety of performance backgrounds allowing us to offer lessons, in everything from jazz to metal. Our orchestral room is often used by Conservatorium of Music Qld students when preparing for examinations, often under the watchful eyes and ears of Tom O'kelly, the person at the head of the Just Percussion ship!
It is hard to know where to begin with the experience that Tom brings to Just Percussion, and shares with everyone around him. Being one of Australia’s most distinguished performers and teachers, he has spent over 30 years working as timpanist, percussionist, chamber musician and soloist across Australia, Europe and Asia. Tom shares his expertise and love for all things percussion through teaching at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and sharing his knowledge with music teachers and students across Australia.
